Wondering what to do this weekend?

The waterfront cabins and camping at Millers Landing Seward Alaska

What are you doing this weekend?

Luckily, It’s still the first part of June and the crowds have yet to descend on this little Alaskan community of Lowell Point.  The roads are open all weekend long and we are truly looking forward to be doing what we do best, adventure!  The mitigation of the slide has been taking place weekdays only.  Starting noon on Friday the road is said to open for good! This has indeed been a hard 4 weeks for our business out at Lowell Point, support for our place from our loyal customers has and will be a huge help! Any mention and sharing of our social media is greatly appreciated, Thank you! We can’t wait to see you back on the landing!

Millers Landing still has many RV campsites available this upcoming weekend- we recently put in 40 plus electric spots to our north Annex along the Spruce Creek!  We love these sites, the babbling water tends to drown out all the other campground sounds.  It’s a great background noise for a restful nights sleep. Beat the crowds of Seward and stay out on lovely Lowell Point, the gateway to the Caines Head recreation area and Millers Landing!

We are working hard to put some finishing touches on our replacements for our tree cabins!  We retired the old tree cabins for employee housing and are now installing brand new cabins. They feature better insulation, great lighting, an upgraded wood stove, and an overall more charming aesthetic.  These lofted cabins are perfect for visiting Seward on a budget, and experiencing an oceanside getaway. These new cabins sleep up to four with 4 twin beds, 1 daybed on the main level and 3 up top in a split-loft, 2 can easily be slid together for a king bed!  We’ll also be relocating these cabins to the waterfront this fall and keeping them open all winter long.  The big sliding glass window will be angled to step right out onto the waterfront come September.

Keen to get fishing?  We’ve been doing really well on our charters lately! We’ve got room left on a few of the full day halibut charters this Saturday. The reds are running strong across the bay, but bring your combat gear, the crowd is pretty intense over there! We also have 9 seats left on a Best of Alaska trip on Sunday which includes fishing, kayaking by the glaciers, and sightseeing all in one!  These trips are great for larger families, as there’s something for everyone.  Jump on this trip while the humpbacks are still showing strong in the area.  And go home with some wonderful rockfish to complete a perfect Alaskan weekend.

Want to do some kayaking without the fishing?  We’ve got plenty of room on our bay kayaking trips, and three spots left on an Aailik day trip on Sunday.  Of course, you can always book another trip just for your family and friends.  Saturday is wide open for any trip out into the parks this weekend.  Mention this article when you book and get 10% off any trip!

Come visit us!  The slide slowed things down for a bit, but we’re back in action and excited to get you out and about.  Fishing, kayaking, camping fun,  we are open and ready to get you out there!

Got an idea? Give us a call and well see if we can do it!  With our fleet of boats, private launch, and team of fishing and kayaking guides there’s not much that we cant figure out – It’s the benefit of doing EVERYTHING in house, with no hired out water taxis or guides.  Family run since 1982!

Thank You Friends!!
