Located on the Miller Family Homestead, Est. 1950

Miller’s Landing sits on the original Miller family homestead on Lowell Point, where the Miller kids grew up hauling water, living off the land, and weathering floods, fires, and the 1964 earthquake. What began in the 1950s as a subsistence home slowly grew into a small fishing camp, and by 1982 evolved into the family-run adventure basecamp it is today.

Now a secluded campground, fishing camp, and adventure hub on the shores of Resurrection Bay, Miller’s Landing offers lodging of all types, daily fishing charters and kayak tours leaving right from our beachfront, and easy access to wildlife and stunning fjord scenery. From our porch you can sip free coffee while watching otters, eagles, salmon runs, and even whales pass just offshore.

Still run by the Miller family, the homestead has become a launch point for customized trips, backcountry expeditions, special events, and unforgettable Alaskan experiences — all rooted in the same spirit of resilience and hospitality that started here generations ago.

Fun, adventure and lots of animals Joel D - August 2025

Our families had an awesome time at Resurrection Bay with Zac and Emma. Families had a total of 5 kids(12,11, 10, 10, 7) and the trip was a great mix of adventure and education for the entire group. The guides were extremely informative, and we are still talking about what we learned about starfish, seals, salmon and the temperate rain forest that we hiked through. Would highly recommend this trip for a group looking for adventure and fun for all ages in 3-4 hours.

Awesome Kayaking Half Day Resurrection Bay Devin S - July 2024

We took our second half day resurrection bay kayak trip with Millers landing this year. Same trip and another wonderful different adventure. This time we started at fox island and worked our way back to humpy cove and stopped at the waterfall hike along the way. Just outside the waterfall trail entrance Ryan put on an amazing demonstration of flying fishing skills and caught a pink salmon for the crowd of kayakers. It was fun just watching the fly fishing. You can tell these guys love their job and love nature. The highlight of Josh’s Day was when a baby seal swam up to his kayak and started playing with his kayak’s rudder. The pup swam around us checking us out for quite some time while the pup's mom poked her head up nearby.

Best of Alaska - Fish, sightsee and kayak Amglaser - July 2025

Millers Landing is truly the BEST outfit - providing amazing experiences and life long memories. The crew was phenomenal. They know everything about Resurrection Bay and beyond. We went sightseeing to incredible coves, including Spires Cove. We saw so many of the area birds and wildlife- whales galore, sea lions, Puffins. We had ample time in each area to really soak in the beauty around us. Captain Paul put us right on the salmon and rockfish. Such a blast to catch! He’s an expert and showed us the best way to catch Silver Salmon and Rockfish. We all caught our limit within minutes. He brought us to an area where about 15 whales were bubble feeding - the most incredible sight I have ever seen. And ADDED treat - he plays great music on the boat AND yummy breakfast and lunch were provided.

Overnight Tour in Northwestern Fjord Trail54576590251 - July 2025

We went on a 2 day/night kayak tour of the northwestern fjord with Ryan. On the boat ride out to the fjord, one of the engines broke on the boat. One of the owners, right after guiding a full day fishing boat, raced out to get us. It would have been easier for him to bring us back to dock, but he raced us out to the fjord as to not lose a night on our trip. Thank you! Our kayak guide Ryan was great! He cooked tons of food and cleaned and literally did everything for us. He would pull us onto the beach for paddle breaks when we needed them, and I never got my feet wet. He is also like a fjord encyclopedia! Ask him anything about animals, plants, ice, anything you can think of, and he can tell you all about it. Make sure to ask him to use his special whale call, he brings them right in ;). Thank you, Ryan and the rest of the Miller's Landing crew!

Absolutely best Charters in Seward! Ali C - June 2025

I highly recommend Millers Landing for both Fishing Charters and their kayaking charter. We did the full day Halibut charter with Captain Paul and deckhands Logan and Justin. They were all phenomenal and we brought home halibut and rock fish. Then we took the half day Salmon charter with Captain Judd and deckhand Logan. They were both so knowledgeable and did an outstanding job at finding us some salmon to catch!!! Our final tour was the all-day Northwest Fjord kayak tour with Guide Ryan. Ryan was able to tell us all about the glaciers, birds. Starfish, seals and otters we saw. We had lunch looking at a stunning glacier. This was our second trip to Seward and both times we have booked trips with Millers Landing and have been beyond satisfied. We will be back!

Top Notch Deep Sea Fishing Adventure 96loril- July 2024

If you want to catch fish - Millers Landing is the place! We had a stellar day with Captain Dustin at Millers Landing about the 6 person boat. Our family, including 2 children ages 12 and 14 had the best fishing day - limiting out with halibut, rockfish and salmon. Also landed cod! We couldn’t be happier or say enough about the quality and care provided during our trip from the staff to the Captain everything was above and beyond expectations. The staff took our catch to be processed and shipped home - super smooth! Breakfast burritos and sandwiches were delicious! We also enjoyed dinner with fresh fish and chips at the lodge after an amazing day! Highly recommend.

Great coffee & food. Friendly people and beautiful views! Loustac - Aug 2024

Miller’s Landing was our favorite for coffee, food, and entertainment while in Seward. The main building is nostalgic. The breakfast was great! We loved the fish, burger, and roast beef panini for dinner. We even used their laundromat. We enjoyed their back deck in the evening, with a beer, watching the fishing charters come in. Unbelievable views. Great service and friendly people. They have it all!

Felt like fishing with friends! Courtney W - Aug 2024

We went fishing on the Fox Willy in the middle of August, great boat to fish from. Captain Paul and Clay were THE BEST!! We’ve been on many charters over the years and they delivered! They got us on the fish, created a really exciting atmosphere and were super fun to fish with! What a great team, it was like fishing with friends! 10/10 will be back for sure, until next time guys!

Such an awesome trip with Caley and Ron! They were super fun, knowledgeable, and great at making the experience safe and as comfortable as possible event through the rainier afternoon (they even made us hot cocoa and coffee on the beach!). We did a ~11-hour trip and it flew by. The boat rides were beautiful and paddling along the fjord is an incredible experience. Would absolutely recommend!

Favorite Alaskan Visit! Sierra Miller - June 2025

We came here for a wedding but would absolutely love to come back on day! The campsites and views are just amazing. We also loved the staff and cafe! We did not do any extra excursions with the wedding agenda, but when we come back, we plan to rent kayaks!

Trip of a lifetime! Ben C - Aug 2024

Best trip ever! My brother and I decided to sign up for the two-night Resurrection Bay trip, little did we know what this experience would hold! We were lucky enough to have absolutely beautiful weather conditions and a lovely kayak guide named Ron. Ron brought a variety of food options, from snack bags to coffee/teas, wonderful pasta dinners, s'mores, etc., he was quite the chef! With a great sense of humor and intimate knowledge of our natural world, it was fun to learn about Resurrection Bay's geologic landscapes, wildlife and gain some insight on weather prediction! From hiking to WW2 forts and waterfalls, seeing "smacks" of jellyfish, black bears, puffins, river otters, sea otters, and even a close encounter with a humpback whale and overly curious porcupine, it was an incredible experience that I'll remember for years to come! Ron also brought a camera along the trip and was quick to send us all his amazing photos, feel free to take a look at some below!
