The large water taxi vessel Michael A is a 36 foot landing craft that carries up to 24 passengers. It exceeds the 5 star safety rating and has music, full electronics, a heated cabin, comfortable seating and large windows for wildlife viewing. The “Michael A” services Resurrection Bay, Day Harbor, Kenai Fjords National Park, Aialik Bay and Northwestern Fjord. We also service Nuka Bay and the Prince William Sound area upon request.

*Note: Michael A is normally used for morning (6am to 10am) and evening (5pm to 9pm) fishing trips, wildlife/sightseeing charters or custom charters. For more information on fishing charters, please see the fishing section of our website.

The second vessel is a 36 foot landing craft. The Fox Willie is an all aluminum catamaran landing craft powered by twin 350 Suzuki Dual prop 4 stroke outboards. New in 2017, it is outfitted to carry up to 20. The Fox Willie services Resurrection Bay, Day Harbor, Kenai Fjords National Park, Aialik Bay and Northwestern Fjord. We also service Nuka Bay and the Prince William Sound area upon request.

The third vessel is a smaller water taxi, the Salty, an open-air 24 foot skiff that carries six passengers. This water taxi services the Resurrection Bay area only. The Salty Water Taxi is available for unscheduled or after hours trips at the Captain’s discretion for an additional fee of $15 per person with a four person minimum.

We have a community with water taxi vessels available every day assisting with Kenai Fjords National Park, Prince William Sound, as well as Resurrection Bay areas, so if we cannot do the taxi, we can refer you to them.

Departures may leave from either Miller’s Landing or the Lowell Point State Recreational Area at South Beach. Please contact Miller’s Landing for departure locations on specific dates and times.

Please plan to be ready 30 minutes prior to departure. The water taxi will not be able to wait if you are not prepared at the time of departure, and you will need to reschedule to the next available time. Most water taxi times include guided kayaking paddles that are on a specific schedule. Delays cause the schedule to be offset for the rest of the day, so we must leave on time.

Allow time for parking, registration, loading and transporting gear to the water taxi loading area, using the restroom, etc. During low tide, loading/offloading may take place at the South Beach area of Lowell Point which may require more than 30 minutes for parking arrangements, loading, and getting you there.
