ANCHORAGE TO SEWARD COASTAL CLASSIC ADVENTURE CLASS FARES ON THE ALASKA RAILROAD TRAIN: The Alaska Railroad route from Anchorage to Seward (or back) has been listed by Frommer's Travel Guide as one of the nicest trips in Alaska. It has spacious, comfortable seating and very scenic, seeing lots of wildlife! DEPARTURE TIMES ANCHORAGE TO SEWARD: The Anchorage train departs Anchorage once daily at 6:45 a.m. (*you must be there by 5:45 AM); arriving in Seward at 11:05 am DEPARTURE TIMES SEWARD TO ANCHORAGE: The Seward for Anchorage route departs Seward once daily at 6:00 pm. (*you must be at the Seward Boat Harbor area 30 minutes prior to departure at 5:30) The train will arrive in Anchorage at 10:15 p.m. I.D. REQUIREMENTS: Remember to bring the same I.D. that you would need to catch an airplane (passport or photo I.D., etc.) as the same I.D. requirements apply to board a train.
CHILDREN'S FARES: * Children's fares apply to passengers age 2 - 11 years. REGULAR FARE OPTION: There are two types of fares on the train from Anchorage to Seward (or Seward to Anchorage): One fare is the Coastal Classic Adventure Class Fare which is the regular fare. GOLDSTAR FARE OPTION: The second fare is the Goldstar Fare which is the luxury dome car fare. This fare is higher. It is possible to take the Regular Fare one way and the Goldstar Fare the other way (see price sheets below.) This is a new luxury double decker railcar. It was custom made for $3.5 million dollars. These lavishly appointed cars will quickly find their place among Alaska's wonders. Featuring custom-designed interiors highlighted with original Alaska art, savvy rail travelers will delight in their features.
The new cars are modeled on the latest 89-foot double-deck dome cars built by Colorado Railcar. Dine in comfort in 36 dining room seats with views through picture windows. Your dome-level reclining seats can rotate to accommodate groups of four and let you share the experience with friends. A full-time bar attendant is available to those looking for libations. SPECIAL: RESERVE THE COASTAL CLASSIC (REGULAR FARE) ONE WAY AND THE GOLDSTAR FARE OPTION (LUXURY FARE) THE OTHER WAY: For customers that would like to travel Adventure class one way and GoldStar the other, we have a special RT fare: $186.50. Note this fare is for both adults and children's rates.

Park Connection Motorcoach Travel

Featuring comfortable coaches and strategically scheduled daily runs, the
Park Connection makes best use of your limited vacation time as you travel
through spectacular wilderness areas including Denali National Park, Chugach
National Forest, Denali State Park and Chugach State Park. The Seward
highway south of Anchorage is the state's only recognized National Scenic
Byway. Little wonder -- the drive down Turnagain Arm, over Turnagain and
Moose Passes, and past Trail and Kenai Lakes is spectacular and
awe-inspiring. North of Anchorage the route follows the Parks highway
through Denali State Park, where some of the best views of Mt. McKinley can
be seen.We offer three schedules to meet your needs, including two trips daily in both directions between Denali and Anchorage, as well as Anchorage and Seward. The Park to Park service is the only transportation link available which allows travel between Denali or Talkeetna and Seward (either direction) in a single day. Visitors who have already spent time in Anchorage will appreciate this money saving feature. The Seward Express service is great for passengers traveling to Seward for the day to take a Kenai Fjords National Park cruise. The Denali Express service does not stop in Talkeetna and is a good option for those passengers connecting with Denali backcountry transportation, or visiting Denali for just one night.
Rates for infants and children under the age of 12 are 50% off the adult rates listed above. Children under the age of 4 must have a car seat. Call for exact pick up locations and times. HighwayThe 126 miles long Seward Highway connects Anchorage with Seward. It has been called one of the most scenic highways in the country and has been designated a National Forest Scenic Byway. Leaving Anchorage heading south, the Seward Highway follows the north shore of Turnagain Arm through Chugach State Park and Chugach National Forest, providing a panoramic view of the south shore and the Kenai Mountains.
