                                     Calendar

To give our customers a better idea on when we are going out to LaTouche Island, Aialik Bay and Northwestern Fjord  here our is our calendar.

Overnight Thumb Cove Trip:
$315 for two days of paddling and one night; (add $160 for each additional night);
Special Early Booking Rate of $295 per person if you book before March 1st!
(*Includes camping gear, water taxi, meals, kayak and guide)
Departs 11 AM, returning approx. 5 PM next day

Take our 16 passenger, 32 foot custom built water taxi from Lowell Point and watch for sea
otters, whales, sea lions and eagles as you travel across Resurrection Bay to beautiful
Fox Island. You will unload the kayaks at Fox Island and paddle from there to beautiful Humpy Cove, watching for wildlife as you go. Our paddle will end in the calm waters of Thumb Cove, where you will see 3 piedmont glaciers, and can experience world class blueberry picking (in season). There is a salmon stream there as well, which usually has several resident eagles lurking for salmon! You will stop along the way for a relaxing lunch break. Thumb Cove is breathtakingly beautiful and it is usually easy to observe wildlife ...sea lions feeding on salmon,....bald eagles flying overhead. This is where you will set up camp and fall asleep to the sound of gentle waves lapping the shore or a glacier fed flowing stream racing to the ocean. Opportunities abound for all levels of experience. NOTE: If you add additional nights, we have a revised itinerary to include other areas.  All gear and meals provided.
*Please ask for adjusted group rates for parties of 5 or more.

Kayaker's Cove Overnight Trip:
$335* for two days of paddling and one night camping. Add $160 for each additional night.
Special Early Booking Rate of $315 per person if you book before March 1st!
Departs 11 AM, returning approx. 5 PM next day.

Hop aboard the Michael A water taxi at Lowell Point and we will take you through beautiful Resurrection Bay to the quiet waters of Kayaker's Cove and Kayaker's Cove Hostel. This is a wonderfully beautiful and serene cove, where kayakers often gather. There is a community kitchen, which your kayak guide chef will use to prepare delicious meals for you. You will paddle one day around Fox Island, exploring sea caves, ghost forests, beautiful towering mountains and cliffs, and observe puffins, sea otters, sea lions, eagles and hopefully whales too! You'll spend the night at Kayaker's Cove, enjoying the scenery and the other kayakers who have come to rest and relax. Kayaker's Cove is a hostel type cabin so it is "camping style" where you camp on sleeping pads in sleeping bags in an open area up in the loft. There is one private cabin there that we can sometimes rent, that sleeps up to four (add $40 for the cabin per night). In the morning, you'll enjoy breakfast and then paddle from Kayaker's Cove to beautiful Humpy Cove, watching for wildlife as you go. Your paddle will end in the calm waters of Thumb Cove, where you will see 3 piedmont glaciers and can experience world-class blueberry picking (in season). There is a salmon stream there as well, which usually has several resident eagles lurking for salmon! You will stop along the way for a relaxing lunch break. Thumb Cove is breathtakingly beautiful, and it is usually easy to observe wildlife there (sea lions feeding on salmon, bald eagles flying overhead).... What fun!
*Includes lodging, water taxi, meals, kayak (s) and guide

This is our ultimate overnight trip and goes to the heart of the beautiful pristine waters of the Kenai Fjords National Park. We hop aboard the "Michael A", our custom built 14 passenger charter boat, and take a 2 hour ride through the Fjords to Holgate Bay. On the taxi, we usually see sea otters, porpoise, sea lions, eagles, and often whales as well as puffins and an abundance of sea birds. We will paddle around the Holgate Glacier, Aialik Glacier, and Pederson Bay area where we see the magnificent calving glaciers, icebergs, seals, and more wildlife... You will be amazed at the breathtaking beauty of this area, there is nothing like it and this is world class kayaking at it's best. Our kayak guides will prepare gourmet meals for you and customize your trip exploring all the various nooks and crannies of beautiful Aialik Bay. There is a lot of area to explore and we recommend a 3 day stay if at all possible. Spend the day with your guide, paddling, hiking and exploring! Relax in the evening around a comfortable campfire, taking in the breathtaking beauty of the fjords and the wildlife all around you! This is where we will set up our camp and fall asleep to the sound of gentle waves lapping the shore and the unique sounds of the glacier calving... Heading back, on the "Michael A." we enjoy sightseeing on the water taxi in the heart of the Kenai Fjords National Park watching for seals, bird rookeries, sea lions, whales, and more... It doesn't get any better than this!

Northwestern Fjord Extended Kayak Trip:

Cruising aboard the “Michael A”, our custom built 18 passenger charter boat we take a two and a half hour ride through Kenai Fjords to Northwestern Lagoon. On the water taxi, it is not uncommon to see sea otters, porpoise, sea lions, eagles, and whales.  Puffins and sea birds are also in  abundance.  Rugged coastline folds into 5 tidewater glaciers.  Enjoy opportunities to view black bears, costal birds, and a host of marine mammals.  This overnight trip goes to one of the least visited fjords in Kenai Fjords National Park, rarely seeing more than two boats a day.
