waters. It is exclusive to Miller’s Landing.
Our 3˝ hour Alpine paddle
includes taking our custom built comfortable water taxi across
the Bay to the remote waters of beautiful Thumb Cove located on
the
eastern side of Resurrection Bay. This is an area often referred to by
locals as the "Little Switzerland" with it's Three Alpine glaciers,
beautiful waterfalls, a salmon stream with leaping salmon (when
running), bald
eagles lurching
overhead, and delicious blueberries (in season). It is
common to see sea otters, sea lions and sometimes beautiful black bears while paddling. There are

READER: PLEASE NOTE:
This tour is sometimes sold at a higher cost with just
an hour or two of paddling time by other companies which
makes it appear less expensive. It is also often sold by
other companies at a lower price but there are extra
hidden costs of a water taxi of $275 to $295 per person
in addition to the base cost. Our guided paddle price is
a set price, easy to understand, and includes the water
taxi in it. It is a longer, fuller day, for less. You
will find that all of our kayak paddles are less. The
reason is because we own our own water taxi, our own
kayaks, and we don’t have as much overhead.
Please take the time
to compare the options offered… To really appreciate
this beautiful area, have time to paddle amongst
the icebergs and calving glacier areas, you really need
the extra paddling time. Our paddle is less expensive
because we own our own water taxi vessels, and our tour
provides quality time for experiencing this amazing
area. This has been listed by the paddle magazines as
the 2nd best place in the entire world to paddle! If you
want a quality, worthwhile experience, please compare
the differences and choose Miller’s Landing for your
best price, best experience, and best overall value.
This area is better explored by
kayak than by tour boat because we can take
you into areas in a kayak that the tour boats cannot get
into, such as Pederson Lagoon with it’s beautiful
icebergs, seals, black bears, calving glacier and so
much more… This is the day trip of a lifetime and we
like to make sure you have adequate time to really
appreciate it… plan for a long day of 10 to 12 hours
with about 4 hours of it being comfortable boat cruising
time and wildlife viewing for your best overall
experience. We have never had a client who did not love
this paddle! This is world class paddling at it’s
finest!
Mention the Special Rate
of just $350 per
person. Normal Rate is $450
per person per day (water taxi cost of $295 per person
is INCLUDED in this cost as are all meals, gear, guide
and kayaks).
REMEMBER that
Miller’s Landing will offer group rates for larger
groups. Please ask us for a quote. |
