Miller's Landing specializes  in exploring the beautiful pristine shores of Resurrection Bay and the Kenai Fjords National Park. Whether it's kayak rentals, kayak lessons, or guided sea kayaking adventures you are looking for, we have it all! Don't forget to check out the kayak rental and kayak lesson pages of the website for more information on those options.

Why should you choose Miller's Landing?

  • *Unlike any other kayaking company, Miller’s Landing owns and operates three water taxi vessels making it possible to transport you to the most beautiful, pristine kayaking spots… filled with wildlife and beautiful scenery!
  •  Because we own our own water taxi, our guided kayak paddle prices INCLUDE the cost of the water taxi. There are no hidden “add ons” for extra charges for water taxi costs.
  • As a result, we are able to offer our guests better prices, passing the savings on to you. We will also guarantee the best prices for any comparable tour. And, we will offer custom tours if you ask, and discounted group rates.
  • We offer a free shuttle bus to pick up our clients in the Seward downtown and harbor area, saving you even more money in taxi costs. (advance notice needed). Also, there are no parking fees for parking at Miller’s Landing.
  • We know your time is valuable when you are on vacation. Miller’s Landing is located right on the oceanfront on beautiful Lowell Point. This is where the best paddling begins… Our water taxi departs right from our beach and so do our kayaks. There are no time consuming transports of kayaks to get from town to the beach. We leave right from here!
  • Unfortunately, transporting kayaks by vehicle from Seward to Lowell Point (where all kayaking paddles begin) causes the kayak you will be paddling in to become dusty and dirty. Add water, and you have “mud”… Our kayaks have never transported by vehicle.. And they are cleaned each time they are used.
  • We are a family run business, and Alaskan homesteaders. We have been in business far longer than any other company, since 1983.
  • Almost all of our paddles involve a water taxi because we like to increase your chances of seeing wildlife, and we like to show off the most beautiful, scenic areas for paddling. The water taxi makes all that possible!

Kayaking with WaterfallListed below, are our most popular sea kayaking trips, ranging from a three hour paddle to multi day adventures in the heart of the Kenai Fjords National Park!  But these are not all of our trips! We will be happy to put together that perfect custom guided trip just for your party! Let us know what you are looking for and we can make it happen for you!

  • READER: PLEASE NOTE: This tour is sometimes sold at a higher cost with just an hour or two of paddling time by other companies which makes it appear less expensive. It is also often sold by other companies at a lower price but there are extra hidden costs of a water taxi of $275 to $295 per person in addition to the base cost. Our guided paddle price is a set price, easy to understand, and includes the water taxi in it. It is a longer, fuller day, for less. You will find that all of our kayak paddles are less. The reason is because we own our own water taxi, our own kayaks, and we don’t have as much overhead.

Please take the time to compare the options offered…. To really appreciate this beautiful area, and to have time to paddle amongst the icebergs and calving glacier areas, you really need the extra paddling time. Our paddle is less expensive because we own our own water taxi vessels, and our tour provides quality time for experiencing this amazing area. This has been listed by the paddle magazines as the 2nd best place in the entire world to paddle! If you want a quality, worthwhile experience, please compare the differences and choose Miller’s Landing for your best price, best experience, and best overall value.

This area is better explored by kayak than by tour boat because we can take you into areas in a kayak that the tour boats cannot get into, such as Pederson Lagoon with it’s beautiful icebergs, seals, black bears, calving glacier and so much more….. This is the day trip of a lifetime and we like to make sure you have adequate time to really appreciate it… plan for a long day of 10 to 12 hours with about 4 hours of it being comfortable boat cruising time and wildlife viewing for your best overall experience. We have never had a client who did not love this paddle…! This is world class paddling at it’s finest!
