Hiking Areas Near Miller’s LandingMiller’s
Landing has some great hiking areas for you to explore. The
Caine’s Head 5 Mile Coastal Trail was listed as one of the top ten
hikes in Alaska and begins right next to Miller’s Landing. Guided Hikes with Millers Landing
Join
our naturalists on hikes departing from Millers Landing. Bring
comfortable hiking cloths, food, and water for the walk. Expect
Tonsina Interpretive Walk (3 Miles Round Trip/ 3 Hours)
This
hike leaves on foot from Millers Landing, and follows moderate hiking
terrain through hemlock forests to a costal estuary. Learn about wild
edibles, tree identification, local birds, as well as Seward history.
During salmon season (July 15th - Aug. 20th) watch thousands of salmon
gather inside Tonsina Creek. Caine's Head Coastal Trail (6 Miles One Way Hike with water taxi/ 6 Hours)
Continuing from Tonsina Creek, hike what Backpacker Magazine has ranked
one of the top ten costal hiking trails in Lost Lake Trail The Lost Lake Trail: An excellent hike with beautiful scenery. Fish in the backcountry or camp near the trails near lost lake. In the winter the alpine area is an excellent place to ski, snowboard, or snowmobile. Lowell Point State Recreational Area.
