Alaska is lauded as being among the best managed fisheries in the world. The regulations are important, and they change each year, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. Make sure you stay abreast of the rules before you head out on a trip, be it alone or guided!

2015 importantly welcomes new Halibut specific regulations in regards to charter fishing:
