Captain Mike Miller

A lifelong Alaskan whose family homesteaded here (and survived the 1964 earthquake) on Lowell Point. Mike has been a fisherman or marine engineer all his life, and does both commercial fishing and chartered sport fishing. Captain Mike is a 3rd generation fisherman and one of the original fishing guides in the Seward area.

Fishing is a labor of love for Mike and today he is considered one of the local experts. Our clients enjoy fishing with Captain Mike while he shows them the waters and land he knows so well, and his trips book fast.

Captain Chance Miller

The son of captains Mike and Sherrie, Chance got his Captain's license at the age of 18, and is a lifelong Alaskan and expert fisherman.  He spends his winters working on research boats in Antarctica and the Arctic as a Marine Technician and Able Seaman.

Captain Sherrie Miller

Sherrie, Captain Mike's wife, is also a licensed Captain, and helps out with the water taxi services.

Captain Bill Moore

From the Miami area, Captain Bill has a home in Alaska as well, and comes here every year with a passion for both river and saltwater fishing.

Captain Dustin Harrison

Captain Dustin Harrison is half fish. There's no way else to explain it.  A recovering Texan, Dustin came to Alaska eons ago and never left. Working as a deckhand for Capt. Mike, Capt. Chance, & Capt. Sherrie, Dustin learned the ropes and moved up to get his captain's license. The only deckhand we've ever had that would work 18 hours on the charter boat, and then go fishing in the river after work. We're lucky to have him!

---------------------------------------"An unforgettable experience!"

“... Whilst I was there I went on an early morning fishing trip, captained by Chance and his deckhand Bill. I will never forget how enthusiastic they both were at 6.30 am listening to James Brown's greatest hits whilst helping 6 ladies try and fish for the first time. Both of them made the whole experience that much more enjoyable and we were very lucky as we all managed to catch a couple of fish. I was even lucky enough to have a go at flaying one...

Miller's Landing was one of my favorite places out of all the trek & I am sure that my fellow trekkers would agree ..."

--------------------------------------“I went to alaska to experience the last frontier and Millers Landing made that dream come true! What an awesome time!”

"We did a halibut charter and limited out on everything! We caught ling cod with rock fish we were reeling in! we saw orca's and humpbacks the deckhand was great! It was a great Alaskan time. These people know what they are doing! They communicated with the other Millers Landing charter's to make sure we were on fish the entire trip! I highly recommend Mike Miller or any of his guides it was a great time!"

--------------------------------------"A piece of authentic Alaska”

" ... The owners and the employees are multi-generation Alaska natives and being here is not just a vacation, it's a life experience. The fishing charter we went on was captained by the owner's son, who is an excellent captain and fishing guide. His knowledge of the local fish and the area was unmatched. ...
... the prices are low and the location is great. If you want to be pampered and waited on hand and foot, Miller's Landing may not be for you. But if you really want to experience Alaska, this is the place to do it."
