Camping Style Cabins
“Camping
style cabins” are modeled after Forest Service type cabins.
These cabins are less expensive than full accommodation cabins, but do
not have kitchens, bathrooms, or running water. Occupants either bring
sleeping bags or rent linens for $5 per set, cook on a Coleman type
stove (you provide) and use the hot showers and bathrooms located just a
few minutes away in the campground area. The camping style cabins have
electricity, wood stoves for heat, most have mini-refrigerators, and
some have microwaves. Water is located close by and must be hauled to
the cabin. These cabins are located on the beach or near the beach with
a view of the Bay. The camping cabins require the occupants to leave a
$25 cleaning deposit, which is returned when they leave the cabin in the
condition they found it in (swept out, trash emptied, tidied up, etc.).

The
Lookout's Cabin
- Camping Cabin
- sleeps 2
- $45 night
This is our most
economical cabin and very popular due to it’s uniqueness and
excellent economical price. It is a very small (less than 100 square foot)
cute log cabin with built-in twin bunk bed that can sleep two persons.
There is no room for a third person. It has a chair, a small counter, and
a woodstove (wood available at the store for $5.88 a bundle). It has
electricity. There is a nice porch built on it with a good view of the
bay. It is nestled in the wooded area and is about 2 minutes from the
shower and bathroom areas in the campground. There is no water in the
cabin but water is available close by. The beach is about 3 minutes away.
There is only room for two people in the cabin unless someone sleeps
outside on the porch. Linens can be provided for $5 but do not come with
the cabin. There are no cooking facilities in the cabin so occupants
should bring a Coleman stove or similar item to cook on, or else cook on a
campfire outside of the cabin. There is a $25 refundable cash deposit to
ensure the cabin is left in the condition it was found in (swept, trash
emptied, etc.)
Check-in is after 4 PM and check-out is
11:00 AM.

These 5 Cabins
were added in 2007 and we expect them to be very popular
camping cabins. The are all situated in the same area making them
great for large groups on a budget. Each cabin has 2 sets of twin
bunk beds. Linens are not included but can be provided for a one
time fee of $5 per set needed. Cabins have propane heat. These
cabins do not have running water but we do offer public restrooms and
showers.
These cabins were formerly forest
service cabins (12 x 20) that were removed from the Kenai Lake area of the
Chugach national forest because of a major national forest service project
on Kenai Lake. they were also used for Alaskan wildfire fire fighters as
living quarters. these are very basic accommodation cabins.

Check-in is after 4 PM and check-out is
11:00 AM.
