Sightseeing areas include the Kenai Fjords National Park and Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge area and will cover the same waters for sightseeing that the various Kenai Fjords Tour boats encounter on their full day tours. We will go to the Chiswell Islands, famous for the many species of nesting seabirds and the Aialik/Holgate Glacier areas of the majestic Kenai Fjords.    Fishing: We will be targeting halibut, ling cod (in season) and black bass or salmon (in season).  Our goal is for each person to catch his or her limit of halibut or salmon. Halibut fillet out at about 60% of their live weight. If you are lucky you may catch one that weighs more than 100 lbs.  Now, that’s a lot of fish and chips! Plus you have the added bonus of viewing all the beautiful scenery of the Kenai Fjords and Alaskan wildlife. Does it get any better than this?

This is a custom charter focusing on a sightseeing tour with just a little fun fishing included. We will sightsee for about three hours and fish for black bass for about an hour. The sightseeing tour takes you through the El Dorado Narrows, where you will see towering cliffs, sea caves, sea lion haul-outs, bird rookeries, puffins, eagles, black oyster catchers, sea otters, kittiwakes, Murres, an occasional whale, Dall porpoise, and sometimes mountain goats and black bear. Be sure to bring your binoculars & a camera!    Fishing: Black bass are both easy and fun to catch. This charter is especially good for families with children because the fish bite regularly, and you can almost count on getting your limit of fish.
